s thinking that too - but probably deemed a “legitimate play on the ball” and still in SPA region given the direction of play
 
A bloody shame Switzerland are fouling our decent transition moments. Should call a truce that neither team do that as to play out the moment.

Need to occasionally go forward for that. Not his fault, but he is a bit off the pace, and looked so weak in that challenge from Akanji.

The commentators keep talking about the rankings, but this Swiss team is a couple of levels up from Mexico, who were sound on the ball but a mess defensively.

They are so organised and have an excellent pressing system. They'll be very dangerous in the World Cup.

Nestor and Volpato need to start every game in the world cup. They look good and we need outlets.

We have a free kick with 60 Seconds to play 35 out. We play a quick free back and then a blocked pass gives them a 3 or 2. Zero intelligence. Slow it down and go long to close the half.
 
Positives:

Beach with some stops.

Herrington not fazed for his age and opponent calibre.

Yengi robust when involved and should stay on.

Irankunda and Volpato want to do something

Negatives
We're playing starters who don't want to get injured.

Trewin is fine defensively but so boring offensively.

Okon and O'Neill have been tame lazy garbage.

Behich not showing any of his experience.
 
Herrington surprisingly nervy.

A few good moments after the drinks break but we seriously miss a player like Mooy who can keep and progress a ball. Would Hrustic help there maybe?
