Unreal that there's still a pulse. But Sourasis needs to depart.
Sources close to the club, speaking on condition of anonymity to share details of private conversations, said by taking control out of Sourasis’ hands, the receivership could ultimately help save the club and precinct project, which already has $80 million committed by financial backers. It would also allow new governance structures to be implemented to address delivery issues.

Wyndham City Council is due to vote on whether to approve the development this month. If approved, it would pave the way for the expansion of Ironbark Stadium, on which Western United’s future depends.

Surely the vote to approve the development doesn't get through. Just give Ironbark fields in its current state to an NPL team and move on.
I think it'd be better for Football Victoria to take control of the Ironbark Fields site outright as opposed to giving it to an NPL side because many of the NPL teams will be reluctant to part with their heritage and they could turn it into a secondary option for a home of football in the state that can be used when Home of the Matildas is unavailable.

Its so far out of Melbourne they can call it the Holiday Home of the Matildas...

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see MV negotiate some sort of deal. They already have plans to build multiple training campuses across the state, may as well save some money and utilise one that is effectively vacant.
