Jesus Toure soft in defense then horrible miss. He wont be sleeping much for the next few nights, that was woeful,.
Whole team weak in defense , few noobs back there. Kinda recovered after that.
Popovic has this kind of coaching effect. Team goes to sleep then needs a massive kick in the ass at the last minute to get anything out of games. His defenses have always been quite robust

You've had 15 games in about 20 months with him coaching. You should be completely conversant with his style by now, it hasn't changed much since he took over the Socceroos.

It's all exciting for us as fans to see the rotation and trial squads but I think this has come back to bite us.

We've had too many introductions and changes that we're still not settled. We have something of a core bunch but it got too big where some players were straight in starting then never to return.

Are you sure you know about men’s football? The league is THE bread and butter and finishing 17th with the money they spend and pay on wages is simply “ abject failure “. The European trophy he won when they couldn’t beat a poor Rangers team , and beat a terrible MANU team? Domestic is always priority.

Paying them lots doesn’t make them good. As we saw this season our squad just isn’t good. We also beat a Frankfurt team that came third in the Bundesliga. Either way, my point was about him being the next Socceroos head coach, not returning as Spurs manager.
 
I think if it came between a choice between a continental trophy and winning 9th instead of 17th id take the trophy

League places arent as important to me if it doesnt lead to either winning the league or ar least getting something concrete out of it (like a champions league place)

As long as the league status is maintained you can go again next year. The plan was to win something, make the UCL and use resources sparingly.
