Agree that Nestory Irankunda should be starting for the Socceroos in the group stage as opposed to being used as a super-sub to either close out a game or chase a result.
 
The first half tactic of absorbing pressure sets us up for a panic rush to catch up. The second half was better and for a friendly a pretty normal hitout.

I don't think we should be setting up this way as we're wasting time not using our best assets. Popovic giving us a small window to score only makes it harder.
 
Let's not forget we have the game against the Swiss next week when the final squad is in place.A chance to see if Volpato can be up to scratch at this level.
 
Worse Socceroo side since 1978!, can’t score, long balls everywhere and no idea on how to create anything.
 
Popa would've learnt nothing from that game. It was so random. He probably thinks the first-half team performed better than the second.

Us fans learnt that:
-Okon > O'Neill
-Leckie isn't it
-Irankunda should start
-Souttar's still a beast
-Toure and Irvine don't need Leckie, Metcalfe and O'Neill around them
-Volpato needs to start
 
Velupillay looked positive. Hrustic minimally involved. The players also know how to manage practice games to converse themselves.
