High Volpato Voltage

Good luck to Volapto but these guys do have runs on the board. Velupillay has probably had the biggest burst into the scene with scorer points in a long time.
thats so - Mabil's running is mostly getting off the ground after he's lost possession many a time.
Boyle seriously ?
Give it to Velu he can compete with CV but happys days this after losing a couple of decent attacking players.

he's not on here yet
Sometimes it’s delayed. Laura Hughes didn’t get put on there till after she got called up for Wales for example (you can check the dates too to confirm this).

Edit: last year Wales called her up on 19 November, switched on 1 December and débuted on 3 December.

That's inaccurate about Mabil. He has that many touches that the stats will spike that he has losses or duels not to mention he often receives the ball as a hospital pass. If Boyle can invoke his inner Hibs then it's ok. He was actually not bad against Cameroon but the link ups with Juric didn't work. I felt both made a lot of smart probes.

If Volpato delivers then fine but he hasn't even played yet.

Wonder how long Popa has known? Surely would take a little while to get paperwork done? Big call on mabil now.

Big ups to circati for convincing him.
I couldn't see it being a big call, CV is way better than him whats hard not seeing that from a football perspective.....
The only challenge/test is how quick he can sync with fellow Roos.

Yes granted JS CV has to prove himslef but he's well worth the gamble.
My accuracy viewing of Mabil he's inconsistant and you can't keep being like that in a WC.
Sure he had a good moment or 2 as did Boyle but how many chances do you keep giving over how many years now ?
Time has come for both - Boyle never brings his Hibs form that I'm aware of for years.

I've been saying it for years too that the deadwood needs replacing and by not doing that we've lost Segecic and Triantis but now Volapto can come in just like that? I hope he kills it and I know the relationship was built up over time but why couldn't we have announced him earlier. Maybe the players were privately informed of such plans as to keep the camp in the loop.

There's going to be a lot of talk about this in the coming weeks, especially when Volpato does interviews. He just needs to wear it on the chin, accept that he is going to get hate in the short-term and persevere. Though, I do think there is some merit for him wanting "to be the best version of himself" before becoming an international but that was mostly for his Italian intentions. No point gas-lighting the world that he always wanted to play for Australia.

You didn't then, you do now. That's all there is to it.

Wasnt saying I'd want Mabil over him just I think he will be the one dropped.

Has to go! Do we even have someone that can play that inverted winger role I've seen him play.

I can see him cutting inside with RWB overlapping, playing little ball in behind for angled run of Mo or Nestory in behind for them to blast past the keeper or just even shooting himself.

This is great for the now but is enormous for our 2030 side. We could have a whole front third, in their prime, playing in top leagues. Imagine what Toure, Nestory, this guy and Bennie could be in 4 years.

If Arena chooses Australia ...

Mabil a good player and a steadying influence on Nestory..i'd say Popa's mate Velupillay will miss out.

Arena might declare for the Socceroos tomorrow..
