Was this the final round before the round of 32 in vic?Brunswick juve v bulleen for a spot in the 32 will be a good one.
As for the dockerty cup it looks like a 3 horse race between Heidelberg, Preston and Avondale.

Why though seems so pointlessYes but the last spot requires an extra playoff game between Brunswick juve and Bulleen. North sunshine also play Avondale next week. Bit unlucky for Juve needing to play the extra game.
How do they decide who has to play an extra game ?Yes but the last spot requires an extra playoff game between Brunswick juve and Bulleen. North sunshine also play Avondale next week. Bit unlucky for Juve needing to play the extra game.

Tell ya what, Olympic were lucky to get out of that, geez they’re shit. For the most part, especially in the first half you genuinely wouldn’t have known that the two clubs were separated by 2 divisions. Olympic look like an under 21s team and a fairly average one at that plus Ziggy Gordon who to use a turn of phrase my father often uses “turns like the titanic”. Also not to feed the conspiracies, could just be consequential but Haliti is defiantly still doing something, I don’t know what, but he’s always there on his phone up in the stands for every match I’ve seen them play. Hanlin if you’re reading, please don’t sue
Anyway, Entertaining game for the neutral, good crowd and a decent little atmosphere, worth getting down to. Good on both clubs for making it a bit of an event. I know it’s wishful thinking but imo this would be the perfect little boutique sized venue for olympic to have to start to rebuild from. Still a decent size but you don’t need a big crowd for it to fill up and have a decent atmosphere. Seems a similar size to something like hume city’s ground from what I can tell having never been to that one or oakleigh’s new grand stand
Not at Fraser specifically, but a boutique stadium like that.Olympic at Fraser.. no thanks.
Isn’t this your second game at Fraser in the past week or am I mixing you up with someone else? If it’s you, might have to get you a scarf.![]()
sounds ridiculous to meIta randomly drawn, from memory when they did it 2 weeks ago it was the last clubs that were drawn that fell into the "extra game qualifier"
sounds ridiculous to me
Sometimes they’ll do these “unlucky extra game” draws at the very beginning of the cup so the numbers even out by the time it gets to the business end. I’m not good enough at maths to know if that would have worked here but it probably would have been preferable imoYep, some teams get lucky whilst a bunch find themselves needing to play an extra game.
We had this happen 2 years ago with the dockerty cup, 3 teams made the semi and South were drawn against Heidelberg to play a "semi final qualifier"...i remember our president at the time going nuts on social media over it lol. We ended up beating heidelberg and winning the whole thing.
That's the easiest way to do itSometimes they’ll do these “unlucky extra game” draws at the very beginning of the cup so the numbers even out by the time it gets to the business end. I’m not good enough at maths to be sure if that would have worked here but it probably would have been preferable imo
