2025/26 UEFA Champions League

yer interesting outlook, no doubt they are great PSG/BM.
Reminds me of the City/LFC rivalry end to end play/skill levels, pace, using flanks etc....
Infact watching the build up play of PSG's and Dembele finish from the quick touchs run down the flank - cut back ball was copy book LFC/Klopp play.
I see many similarities when its titan teams like PSG/BM right now or LFC/City in their peaks, those games we're electric from start to finish evry single time - why Pep always has said Klopp/LFC were his biggest/best challenge.
Barca of that time were the front runners hands down imo compared to RM, they borught the tika tacka as we know and then Pep influenced City's play + cheq book and LFC met the challenges as did RM against Barca at their peak.
I know its not to your pov the beauty of viva la difference.
I said Liverpool played Tika tacka on speed, I loved the Liverpool play in those days & they battled it out with Man City, Pep & Klopp were at that stage the best 2 coaches in the world.

Now, while Henderson, Milner & Wijndalum midfielders, that all fitted how Klopp wanted to play, but they were not the most creative midfielders to grace football.

With PSG preparing for the 2026 Champions League final this weekend, it’s the perfect moment to remember on my Le Foot blog the night French football first touched Champions League glory....

Just a quick correction: it should be Les héros de Munich.

Yes and no, the article is mainly talking about Basile Boli and his contribution and in French, "le héros de Munich" is singular too. The singular and plural forms of the noun are spelled identically, so it remains exactly the same for one person or the group "les héros de Munich".

Oh you’re referring to one hero. My bad, I thought you were referring to multiple French Bayern players.

The article is more about Boli than the Marseille team itself....
Ah okay. One minor thing I will note though is that in French we usually only capitalise the first letter of the title and the first letters of any proper noun (Le héros de Munich rather than Le Héros de Munich, because héros is a common noun).

Arsenal starting with Kai Havertz up front over Viktor Gyökeres. I know he won it with Chelsea and scored in the final but fuck this should be funny.

Kai Havertz scores for Arsenal in the sixth minute of the match to give them a 1-0 lead early on in the Champions League final. Leandro Trossard with the assist.

PSG starting with an unchanged outfield from last season's Champions League final against Inter, with the only change to their playing list since then being Matvey Safonov starting between the sticks as a replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma who was transferred to Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are keen today. PSG still dangerous.
Even though Arsenal have the best defensive line in the entire Champions League they have to be careful not to get complacent in the second half especially given that PSG have the best forward line in the comp and will be looking to score late in regulation time.
