I am thinking they will all drop dramatically the week/days beforeIt's interesting to read how the ticket reselling market is and it's seemingly no different to the stock market where promises are made and scrambles happen to fill orders.
Yep, that’s correct. The only way you can resell a ticket is through FIFA, and they make 30% of the sale amount for each ticket resold (and there is no restriction on the resale price). Absolutely scandalous, practically criminal.Resell, fifa take a 15% cut from buyer and seller. Outrageous
A mate "transfered" his tickets to a mutual friend ... put the re-sale price down as $10 per ticket and the other bloke paid him cash... to avoid this.. FIFA are crooks... I mean they always were but now its just insane.Resell, fifa take a 15% cut from buyer and seller. Outrageous

Yeah, I think the whole ticket selling process FIFA used, combined with their "resell at any price" reselling system, just encouraged people who had zero intention of going to the world cup to enter the ticket ballots with the single intention of getting tickets and then looking to resell for a profit. Of course this sits perfectly with FIFA's greed when they take a 30% margin on resales. And also had the impact of many genuine fans not getting tickets in the ballots. I am going to the WC but I missed out on tickets in the first two ballots and only got tickets through the Football Australia allocation, but had to join FA's also scandalous "fan membership" rort for $99 to get into that allocation. They are saying with a straight face that this is good.
I think the tickets will drop massively. The thing going against fifa is that nobody wants to go to the states, the flights are expensive and hotels are a joke.
If it was europe, you have more people willing to go last minute.
I didn't even realise they had a $99 fan membership. What a joke. I will only be going to games in mexico, so didnt even try for aussie onesYeah, I think the whole ticket selling process FIFA used, combined with their "resell at any price" reselling system, just encouraged people who had zero intention of going to the world cup to enter the ticket ballots with the single intention of getting tickets and then looking to resell for a profit. There are still tickets available on the FIFA "Last Minutes Sales" for many of the matches. This is not the resale section, but for tickets direct from FIFA. For example there are still Cat 1 tickets available for the Aus-Tur match in Vancouver for US$765, which is face value. Still an absolutely scandalous price, but not 10x face value.I didn't even realise they had a $99 fan membership. What a joke. The cheapest possible tickets on fifa.com you can find are 10x face value at the moment. How FIFA can not only encourage but collude in this is a scandal.
This is not correct. I bought tickets from my friend in Vancouver and there was no 15% transfer fee on each side to FIFA. That only applies if you do the transfer through FIFA’s transfer/resell site or whatever it’s called.Yep, that’s correct. Yes you are correct. You can transfer tickets to someone and get paid through a personal transaction. I would suggest though that the two parties would be known to each other and trust each other to deliver the ticket and money, as presumably happened in your case. The FIFA resell site is the only way to offer a ticket for sale to the general public. This is not correct. Yes. I did know the other person. Had the person been a stranger it would have been incredibly stressful. So can understand why some people would need the security of using the FIFA site.Yes you are correct. You can transfer tickets to someone and get paid through a personal transaction. Hope someone takes this!I have a spare Cat 2 ticket for Aus v USA. Happy to sell to Aus fan for face value which I paid, which was $USD550. I'll be in Vancouver for the Aus v Tur game, can meet up and sort details ahead of the US match.
