Australian transfers 26-27 Summer

Wow I did NOT expect that! I though it was certain he was leaving?
Surprising but a year extension offered comfort. I actually get it in a post world cup summer. You've got a lot on in the summer and then sorting and having to move right after that is a lot at once. Heaps of players do move but perhaps knowing where he'll be in August is settling.

I can imagine some changes coming in at St Pauli. They'll probably be content with a stabilising season in the second division but will want growth with a view to promotion.

Irvine will have to consider what he wants to do.

Metcalfe has a good CV and should probably seek something else.

Callum Elder has been delisted by Derby County and will leave the side upon falling out of contract at season's end, having struggled with injury for much of their Championship campaign. He's one of four players to be delisted by the club upon the release of their retained list following the conclusion of season 2025-26.

Elder off contract at Derby and not renewed. Will be looking for a new club.
A stellar season with 30 games until a broken toe put him out. 1 goal and 5 assists. He'll fine a new club with relative ease. The question is if he wants to keep playing at the highest possible level or just enjoy his football in League One or on the continent at a midtable club.

I'd still have him over Behich in the WC squad. A broken toe with the time he's had won't be an issue.

Ryan Strain and Ashley Maynard-Brewer have both been delisted by Dundee United and will leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts at season's end, although Zac Sapsford remains under contract at the side for next season.

Nicolas Milanovic is set to leave Aberdeen at season's end after being told by head coach Stephen Robinson that he is not in his plans and will not play next season if he remains at the club. He remains under contract at Aberdeen for the next two seasons and is already garnering interest from A-League Men sides.
