All things WSL can go here! Only three WSL teams don't have Aussies: Aston Villa, Liverpool and Man United (United have never had an Aussie player). They should hurry the fuck up and sign some! 😂

Chelsea have announced they will play all their Women’s Super League matches at Stamford Bridge, aligning the women’s team with the men’s team. They’re now one of five clubs to host all of their WSL fixtures at their Premier League or former Premier League stadium, with the others being Arsenal (Emirates Stadium), Aston Villa (Villa Park), Everton (Goodison Park, the old men’s stadium) and Leicester City (King Power Stadium).

Beth Mead’s leaving Arsenal. Finally they’ve let go of a player lol.

After an intense penalty shootout, Charlton are promoted to the WSL! Meanwhile, Leicester are relegated to the WSL 2.

Definitely helps that they play every single game at the Emirates and spent all their money on building a fanbase than actually winning trophies. Chelsea will be playing every home game at the Bridge next season so I’d say that’ll change the stats a lot. Leicester (relegated) and Villa both use their men’s stadiums too while Everton play at Goodison where the men used to play. Everyone else only plays some home games at the men’s stadium and play the rest at another stadium (e.g. Spurs play at Brisbane Road which is Leyton Orient’s ground).

I think the location of stadiums is an issue too. Liverpool play at BrewDog in St Helens which is half an hour from Anfield and Man U play at LSV in Leigh which is also half an hour from Old Trafford. The reserves teams also play at those stadiums. Academy Stadium (Man City’s women’s and reserves stadium) is a short walk from the Etihad but only has a small capacity.
