Sign Up Now!Yeah ok, lets pretend to equate the 42 amateur football clubs that played from 77-2004 with the Jim's Mowing of the past 21 years... no worries .So, really no difference to the past 48 years?
Next steps will be to abolish the need for Aleague clubs to field junior teams as part of their licensing agreement - and I think eventually they will discard women's teams as they are too costly at the moment. They will also find away around Asian Champions league participation, opting for a "All stars Aleague concept" to be shared amongst all the owners and the commissioner so they can share costs...Certainly wouldn’t out that being the case
I reckon they still have in their head that if they were to do pro rel it would be controlled version of it by making Aus Championship equivalent to an A2/part of the A league group/apl and just have pro rel within that 2 tier bracket with licensing agreements to get into that. Essentially what was “soft launched” a few months back though the media. And that way they can have their “reunification” of the game/reconciliation and undo what most now believe to have been a mistake in hindsight in doing away with the stronger traditional clubs whilst still maintaining some level of control over the product and they “solve” the problem of the licensing agreements/what happens to a franchise if they get relegated. Especially since they’ve not died in the way many expected at the timeNext steps will be to abolish the need for Aleague clubs to field junior teams as part of their licensing agreement - and I think eventually they will discard women's teams as they are too costly at the moment. I actually do not want to play these A League Clubs. I want the NSD to be the TOP division for 'real' clubs.I reckon they still have in their head that if they were to do pro rel it would be controlled version of it by making Aus Championship equivalent to an A2/part of the A league group/apl and just have pro rel within that 2 tier bracket with licensing agreements to get into that. Has anyone ever produced and published a feasibility study into a second tier A-League with promotion and relegation between the two tiers?

Exactly right... and in a way I dont blame the APL at all. I hate football Australia for folding, but I dont blame APL.. If they allow the few investors, they are struggling enough as it is to attract, know that there is a even a remote possibility that their licenses will be rendered useless if they are relegated they will ALL pull the pin and the APl will fold.. they are protecting their turf... Like an Iraqi tobacco dealerI reckon they still have in their head that if they were to do pro rel it would be controlled version of it by making Aus Championship equivalent to an A2/part of the A league group/apl and just have pro rel within that 2 tier bracket with licensing agreements to get into that. This is one heck of a confession. Xenophobia as a motive for the a league has been vigorously denied for the last 20 years
I would say the majority of the time of the last twenty years the a league has passionately denied that it is xenophobicDenied??? Are you sure? That's on odd way to spell "celebrated"...
As Mono famously replied, " SAM ONLY SPEAKS FOR SAM"I actually do not want to play these A League Clubs. I want the NSD to be the TOP division for 'real' clubs.
Sorry mate, I beg to disagree.. The Alegaue has promoted itself long and hard as a direct dissociation form the bad old "effnik violence" days... Its has clearly pushed the agenda (parroted but most if not all of its new fans) of a Mainstream Australian Paradise pty ltd were tribalism for the geographical sales area you belong to was considered a safer, family friendly alternative to celebrating our multiculturalism.I would say the majority of the time of the last twenty years the a league has passionately denied that it is xenophobic
this includes calling criticism of active support racist
Indeed, but I agree that I want the NSD to be the top division of football in this country and in fact consider it so..As Mono famously replied, " SAM ONLY SPEAKS FOR SAM"
Well said, Mr Lowy!Denied??? Are you sure? That's on odd way to spell "celebrated"...
Poor Frank, he must be rolling over in his Hungarian grave being described as Isreali. He is dead right?Well said, Mr Lowy!
Your first sentence now convinces me that your actively trolling, or you are drunk!Indeed, but I agree that I want the NSD to be the top division of football in this country and in fact consider it so..
I do however accept that the ALeague clubs (at least some) have become football clubs in their own quaint way - I don't blame their fans for the sins of their foreign owners, and would happily engage with them in a league pyramid provided they played by the same rules as everyone else.
Mr Lowy is very much alive at the grand old age of 95. He is Slovakian.Poor Frank, he must be rolling over in his Hungarian grave being described as Isreali. He is dead right?
Sheesh I wish... Ive only got pisswater in the bar fridge here... time to pull up stumps...Your first sentence now convinces me that your actively trolling, or you are drunk!
