2025-26 A-League Women — finals series matches

Full time at AAMI Park. Melbourne City get the job done 3-1 over Wellington Phoenix courtesy of a brace of goals from Holly McNamara in the 41st and 43rd minute of the match, along with a goal from Leticia McKenna in the 49th minute. Makala Woods scored the only goal of the match for Wellington Phoenix in the 52nd minute, with the result seeing Melbourne City secure a record-equalling fifth A-League Women Championship and complete the Premiership-Championship double for season 2025-26. Attention for them now turns to the quest for a continental treble, which continues on Wednesday when the AFC Women's Champions League centralised finals series gets underway in South Korea.
 
Melbourne City captain Rebekah Stott becomes the inaugural winner of the Clare Polkinghorne Medal which was announced pre-match, in addition to winning an A-League Women's Championship.

Holly McNamara will be playing in the AFC Women's Champions League centralised finals series in South Korea and could play her last game as a Melbourne City player either on Wednesday or she'll end up winning a treble next Saturday before most likely moving overseas with many clubs in Europe and North America looking for strikers, especially those with as much quality and potential as she has.
