AA Pro-Rel Watch 2025/26

Celtic and Rangers locked at 1-1 going into the half of the Old Firm derby, meaning that Cam Devlin and Hearts could clinch the Scottish Premiership title in their game at home against Falkirk on Wednesday local time.
Yup, they need Rangers to win ideally which would mean if Hearts win at home against Falkirk that would seal the title and they'd play Celtic away in the final round having already been confirmed as Champions.

I guess at least St Pauli can still survive. If they win they make relegation qualification unless Heidenheim win with better goal difference. Then there's more to play for.

Millwall miss promotion which may be a good thing for Luongo. He may still be wanted in the Championship. It's so unfair he is injured because I think he'd be a near cert for the World Cup. Maybe he'll be back for the Asian Cup.

Riley McGree and Sam Silvera eliminated from Premier League promotion contention with Middlesbrough after losing 2-1 to Southampton in their Championship playoff semi-final second leg game after extra time, also losing their tie 2-1 on aggregate and will be remaining in the Championship next season.

Given McGree’s importance to Boro I wonder if there’s any chance he’ll be picked up by a promoted team

Somehow I find it unlikely that EPL clubs would be enticed given his injury history. At the same time the lighter schedule compared to the EFL would be ideal for him. I'd love to see him at Brentford as they're fun to watch and have an attacking culture.

Levante v Mallarca is huge. All the other teams have a game in hand.
All the other teams are still yet to play their matchday 36 La Liga games this week but agree that Levante's home game against RCD Mallorca next week will be pivotal in determining whether they stay up next year.

St Pauli's Metcalfe and Irvine with a massive relgation fight V Wolfsburg. Crazy that Wolfsburg are in this position given player quality etc. Shows how much squad cohesion and a poor management can cost a club. St pauli really up against it and must win to survive in Bundesliga. I think a big club clean out is overdue at St Pauli, including the coach, players and other management and sporting staff.

what are people making of the chances southhampton witll be disqualified following SpyGate, putting Boro in the play for promotion?
They’ll probably just get a big fine and maybe a points deduction next season. Boro should be in the final instead though.

Jackson Irvine and Connor Metcalfe need to win with St. Pauli on the last matchday of the Bundesliga season and hope that Heidenheim finish with inferior for and against should they get the job done against Mainz to make it into the pro-rel playoff spot.
