Good round up of the Pod, LFC!OK thanks Graz I listened to this pod with Blayne.
Kudos on the volenteers involved with the FSAA.
Not much we don't discuss in here tbh but the more the merrier from football supporters of the game outlook thats for sure and his comments ring true that the FA and the APL are not listenning to the very people who they actually rely on be it registrations or supporters......
Am I not surprised the FA are slow on the uptake from a supporter group reaching out to them.
Sure they have finally had some reply but why after so long.
Am I right Blayne mentioned they proposed their MOU sometime back in '25 and surprisingly the APL are the ones who have reacted much more whereas I would have expected the FA should have long before being the Father of the game.
Blaynes comment on the decline talking APL - he described this as when you don't like a product people move on.......
This is one of the problems - Franchise football.
Its a product in the community passion field - a business (Retail at that) always needs to move with the times, offer incentives, bells and whistles (get it stars wars rounds for eg) whereas a football Club talks through its football grades, local community input, its part of the community day to day fabric.
He mentioned he believes some are venturing back to community football ???
Some of us have been discussing the increase around NPL since the Championship.
Maybe so - not many to me but they have gone elsewhere obviously.
Vision 50/100 ala Japanese.
Well yer were chalk and cheese BUT I'd be happy just seeing a 5/10 Vision - JJ's vision was the Championship at least - trouble is he's jumped, lord knows what these suits are looking ahead that is very concerning and the issue at hand ever since NSL demise and AL now APL sure have NO plan but in the HOPE to sign new wealthy suckers that in the big picture does NOT help us down to grass roots.
This is not a model for the future to me - surely can't you guys see this.
Square peg in a round hole.
Blayne's other good quote was what can supporters BUY INTO from the governing bodies ?
Good point this - as expressed paragraph above.
We got nothing that we see of structure synergies improvements, we have the same same for decades, - we need the top NPL to become Pro, yes Championship is leading this hopefully, next level in the planning fingers crossed, recycle repeat process.
IF we can only sustain 2 major NPL levels so be it.
Whats hard is too many heads in the trough ! or too many heads who won't budge, break em mind you we need a leader and support within doing so.
Open the game up - sorry APL we got to absorb your business into the community.
2 diff roads do not make 1 top road.
This in turn builds up Engagement !
So good on you FSAA - I see you far more productive than a website such as 360.
You guys come from the ground - not about $, media but luv of the game wanting MORE than we are getting to this day.
I think GG and something like the FSAA should align in some way so as numbers increase together.
That way the voice/numbers are stronger together for eg.
For I have no point joining FSAA whilst I have all my vested interest in here the GG.
There must be plenty like me who couldn't be bothered having so many accounts to tap into - I couldn't be F.
Ill pitch for them to join!OK thanks Graz I listened to this pod with Blayne.
