Deni Juric started and played 58 minutes for Wisla Plock in their 3-0 Ekstraklasa loss to Pogon Szczecin before being subbed off.
 
Anthony Carter came on in the 70th minute for Farense in their 3-0 Liga Portugal 2 win over 10-man UD Leiria, converting a penalty in the tenth minute of second half stoppage time.
 
Aiden O'Neill and Kai Trewin both start for New York City in their MLS game against DC United. Kye Rowles starts for DC United.

Not sure if Kuol is low on confidence or has stifled his game to match to let's say gel with more industrious teammates but all I saw was early crosses from him, layoffs to overlapping runs or back passes. Also looked twice as fast as any other (maybe too quick for tight areas) and Sparta sure ain't setting up to exploit it.

Interesting. His fotmob rating was quite high was that misleading?

I watched the second half until he was subbed off, and I wouldn't say so. He always looked like a dangerous outlet, though quite isolated at times because he played wide (which was understandable given Sparta Prague were a man up and trying to stretch the field).

When you think about it, Kuol's actually doing pretty well. Sparta are one of the two biggest clubs in a proper footballing country and he is a teammate of a lot of current international players. If he can properly break into the first team next year (bearing in mind he's still only 21), that'll be a great achievement.

I don't think Garang Kuol's rating was misleading given that he created three chances which is the joint-most in the match including one big chance and only had the one shot at goal which was on target with an expected goals value of 0.03.
 
O'Neill subbed off after 36 minutes with a knee injury for NYCFC. I didn't see it, so not sure how bad it is.

Trewin and Rowles (for DC United) also started for their respective teams.

Geez that's shocking timing. Knee away sounds scary.

Hopefully Aiden O'Neill's injury is not that serious this close to the World Cup but injuries that seem innocuous at first could be worse so we'll have to wait and see what the injury update says.
