2026 Hahn Australia Cup

Should be winning with that team, no excuses.

Great now we got a full of confidence Sydney olympic this sunday.
Yep, was clearly a rotated squad, but should still be winning, there’s enough there and players you can bring off the bench if need be. Always tricky cup fixtures playing npl 1 teams who are struggling in the league, it’s not as if you’re playing a lower league team, you can still easily lose. Marconi have a poor record in the cup, barely any appearances in the national rounds. Disappointing, as I say imo aus cup the best comp we have in this country

When you press u have a chance

When u keep the ball u have a chance

First clean sheet this year
Took 14 games

We have 1 clean sheet in the four trial games .

Maybe seing the agm live might of woken these players up

You give it 100 per cent for the full 90 min you have a chance

Happy with the win

Good turnout maybe 300 people
Suprised with the marconi turnout

Felt good beating marconi
Same marconi always playing dirty

Good win
Well done Olympic, the whole fanbase needed that win.

Can someone in Sydney with a bit more knowledge enlighten me - why does the "State Cup" exist? (I believe from what I can see, is the Open Men Cup is the Bill Cullinan Cup, and all other age groups are the State Cup (with the exception of U21 Men, being the Robertson Cup).

In the past a lot of Griffith clubs (Hanwood, Yoogali, and now Griffith City, which is essentially Yoogali City SC this year) entered the "State Cup" - I'm talking in the years before the FFA/Australia Cup had begun. In fact, when the Cup began in 2014, I thought that the Waratah Cup was indeed the "State Cup" but turns out they are two completely different competitions.

from memory around the '80's started.
For any non NPL clubs below to grass roots. NSW only.
I suppose they let in Canberra and surrounds associations.
Waratah was/is for the top level NPL clubs started long before so I think State Cup was formed so as all the lower level Clubs have a knock out comp.

Ah ok, so realistically these days it's obsolete/secondary cup (like the Johnston's Paint Trophy in England) since Waratah Cup got re-instituted properly again?

its not obselete as far as I know........
Its an ongoing Cup followed with the Champions of Champions and Country Cups.
There's the Robertson and Cullinan Cups age specific running alongside the State Cup.
Pre Season Johnny Warren Cup for premier leagues.
The W cup re instated caters for the NPL's so thats separate.

we have been elimanated four years in a row in our aus cup run
Lost to sydney united in penalties
Lost to spirit in extra time at home
apia on penalties
Marconi at home

We beat randwick and probably lose to rockdale or manly or any other npl team
