Hmmm. Guessing his "venomous" post was directed to his club team. Probably promised game time leading up to the WC, which hasn't happened. Imagine he is still close to WC selection but the lack of club football doesn't help.

Not sure where Ryan Strain is headed next but we would have expected him to move on at season's end given that he falls out of contract at Dundee United at the end of this year.

I'm sorry but in my view Anthony Carter cannot be anywhere near Socceroos contention. He's a 31 year old who didn't cut it in the A-League, didn't cut it in the Portuguese first tier and has now been loaned back to the Portuguese second division where he has scored one goal in eleven league games this season. He's well behind players like Archie Goodwin and Luka Jovanovic. Hell, he's probably behind Lachlans Brook and Rose and Max Caputo as well.
