Hoping for an intimidating crowd at AAMI Park on Saturday. Ticket prices are more than reasonable, and we are playing arguably our biggest rival in a final for the first time in 7 years. No excuses tbh.

From a Victory POV, it probably doesn't matter who the next opponent is should we progress. You'll have to beat Newcastle to win the toilet seat anyway, I would suggest.

on another note, Auckland v City not being on FTA TV is total bullshit

I'm not so sure about that. Top 6 are all too inconsistent.
Never know what performance you are gonna get.
In the last 5, the top 6 have had a total of 12 wins, 12 draws and 6 losses.
City and Adelaide with the best form recently.
Good possibility of some games decided in shootouts.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jets were knocked out in the semis.

An away GF in Adelaide would be pretty sick tbh

Honestly I don't really care about finals I think first past the post and Australia cup is more important.

However because it really builds interest in quite excited
I agree that I don't really care about the finals results. Jets won 25/26 in my eyes.
That being said, finals does tend to produce some great games.
I think it's the cooler weather and added risk of elimination that brings out the best in teams.

Anyone can win the GF this year.

MV could win, but could also go out 4-0 to Sydney this weekend.

Any of the top 4 could win the seat.
Despite Sydney letting Auckland get back into the match they actually played well.

I care about finals. I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't.

Everyone on the forum acknowledges Newcastle as the champion. But i still want my team to win the toilet seat.

I was always into the league, but ever since god did the right thing for humanity and goodness and intervened by turning the VAR off for us to win against newcastle, I have been pushed toward enjoying the GF. It was a lovely gift from the big fella upstairs for all football fans in this country.

Damn you to hell

It's sad the way this nation views first past the post, but it is what it is, it's not going to change any time soon. The purists will always know the truth. I do hope we win the Post-Season Cup though!
Purists? Watching a franchise league with no relegation and a lopsided draw??? hahahaha your having a laugh.

Penalty shootout scenario.
Who's winning?
Is any keeper being subbed for the shootout?

Warshawsky + Duncan vs Devenish-Meares + Hoefsloot
Woud + Hilton vs Beach + Nieuwenhuizen

Hate to say it, but SFC have the better starting keeper. My money would be on them.
Auckland / City I reckon is a bit more even. Flip of a coin for me.

The Macarthur part might come true actually
Just fuck em off already, everybody already knows eventually they’ll cease to exist Ala northern spirit, parramatta power, Carlton sc etc etc why delay the inevitable. A failed experiment no one ever asked for. They’ve very much got that air about them unlike your Sydney fc, wanderers, melb victory etc who you get the sense would survive in some way or another should the league not survive in its current form
