2025-26 A-League Women — finals series matches

Katie Bowler, Isabel Hodgson and Emilia Makris coming on in the 81st minute for Adelaide United, replacing Emily Hodgson, Emily Condon and Adriana Taranto respectively.

Don’t they play City while Victory have the Nix?
Melbourne Victory have a Melbourne derby semi-final against Melbourne City whilst the winner of Brisbane Roar's elimination final plays Wellington Phoenix because it's the lowest-ranked winner of the elimination finals that plays premiers Melbourne City whilst the higher-ranked side plays the second-placed Nix.

Brisbane Roar ran out 3-0 winners over Adelaide United in the other A-League Women elimination final courtesy of a brace of goals from Kijah Stephenson in the 51st and 57th minute, along with a goal to Aimee Medwin in the 83rd minute. The result confirms the second semi-final will be played between Brisbane Roar and Wellington Phoenix, with Brisbane Roar hosting the first leg next week and the second leg being held in Wellington at Porirua Park the following week, and the matchup for the Dub grand final will be either Melbourne City or Melbourne Victory facing Brisbane Roar or Wellington Phoenix.

Canberra United have released a statement with regards to their future beyond A-League Women season 2025-26, with Capital Football chief executive Samantha Farrow saying that there is close and regular contact with the APL about finding new ownership as current discussions remain underway with multiple parties, and reiterating that the decision for Capital Football to step away from operating the side is due to the evolution of the Dub and its associated increased demands.

Teo Pellizzeri just suggested we pick Beth Gordon for the next Matildas squad! Interesting shout, any thoughts? Let’s see if my theory of him knowing the squads before they’re picked is true.

I don't think Bethany Gordon will make the Matildas playing list for the June international window because she has no experience altogether as part of the national team setup despite ranking highly in most statistical metrics and starting every match for Canberra United this year.
