Has anyone tried to register their kids through playfootball.com.au ? (off forum I know)

Seriously, if FFA or Football Australia want to improve grass roots football

Can they please fix the registration process for grass roots community football?

I really enjoy watching my kids play football on a Sunday, however, this website is fundamentally confusing and broken to fuck.

Please update it and make it easier to enrol my kids, save all their details for the next year so I don't have to upload fucking photos EVERY fucking year.And why ask for a fucking Passport as ID and then never actually ask for the upload of the document ???
And why the fuck no receipts sent to registered parents email account?

Putting this out there hoping someone important reads this. 4th time I tried to use the registration process over the past 2 weeks and finally managed to register all 3 of my kids somehow ?? got lucky I guess. Fucking messy confusing shit.

I have the joy of doing the admin in playfootball for my club. Agreed it's not wonderful and can be painful (heaps of errors with parents details being made the details of the kids which gets messy). The photo thing I kind of get as particularly kids look different year on year. With the ID, the idea is that the club should reach out and view these docs before clicking approve, it prompts us when we go to do so. Not sure if any clubs actually do (we definitely do if the FA is reading this).
You should get the receipt email once the club has clicked that they've cited the ID and approved. Junk maybe?
To be honest I don't think it's that awful, I get more annoyed at the squadi process!

Disagree it is awful.
Having to rego myself for years its piss poor system, you get directed wrongly, at times your not sure where to go.
Funnily near on every season our Manager/now ex Club treasurer would provide the instructions point by point rego time in our chat group.
IF one has to do that annually says it all for adults, not for the kids parents haha

Haha VP, Secretary, treasurer, a bit of everything mate!

I don't know, I've never had any issues but can see how it could be tricky, we had one guy who couldn't register and when we went through it he just hadn't chosen whether he follows an A-league team or something like that. But from the other end, it's pretty easy to do the final registration confirmation part.

Any digital system is probably going to be a bit shitty to be honest. I also work in health and no matter what system is in place it's either brilliant for some or really crap for others haha.
 
yes too true re systems - mind you I'm surprised for a Gov site registering cars is easy for eg.
Yes the survey parts in rego can get you but it should default back the moment going to next stage for eg.
Thats whats silly some systems, default comes up at the end. I'd sooner correct as you go through each stage.
Anyway I know its not first world probs but just frustration.
Again kudos on your commitment mate - I credit you devottee's for the local club cause we all need you.

And that's another problem - it is ridiculous that registration has to be done through two systems - playfootball and squadi as mentioned above by jimshady. And in Qld you also need to go through both playfootball and squadi this season, if I recall correctly.
