Perfect example of why I hate reddit. That volpato discussion you got one guy oddly defending volpato. Probably has some connection to him the way he is talking but besides the point.

You got people down voting the guy and even one person say to leave him alone lol he can't handle a discussion about a footballer that he started. These mofos wouldn't last a day here with mono and the npl guys.

As for NPL clubs the discussion about it on there is quite limited unless they do something racist or bash someone.

It’s been deleted now after I complained but a political post slandering Angus Taylor that merely mentions the Socceroos in the last line and uses them in the photo for clickbait was considered okay for a while. Note that when I tried posting Cristian Volpato’s last goal it was deleted within just minutes.

I guess there are a lot of football fans that like to discuss politics. On a forum you can have a dedicated section and direct people there, not sure how they address that on reddit, makes sense to just ban politics and delete the post

It does. It uses satire to take the piss but it's not slander. Thank f** for comedians and satirists, especially atm. They cut through the nonsense. Not everyone appreciates that. And not everything needs to be apolitical. Different opinions are fine and healthy, within boundaries.

FWIW I think it's bullshit the Volpato video got taken down. Maybe you need a different Reddit if they're that restrictive.

I’m thinking of doing a sub just for goal videos. I doubt people would view it but it’s easier to link videos from Reddit to here than post entire videos on here.

The cowards at Juice media would never go after their hypocritical green buddies.

Betoota is alright. It's shrieking places like reddit that hypocritically shut down free speech while claiming to advocate for it.

That sounds a solution. You could either post all your stuff there and grow it, or just post the stuff you know they'll delete as a work around.

I don't use Reddit but it sounds the pits. Too easy to get group think in the way its structured.

Then you have these algorithms pushing and re-inforcing one view point. Too many are completely closed off to different perspectives and it's unhealthy. Politics becomes a bit like supporting a sports team, black and white, which it shouldn't be. These things should be nuanced and individual.

Probably already been said here, but I do enjoy the matchday threads on Reddit. The rest is just like any other platform, sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit. It will let me know if there’s been loud bangs in Newcastle which is always nice to know.
