SPL

It was broadcast on Paramount+.

There was over 25,000 at Hampden on Saturday, so 5,000 would have been locked out if we went your method.

I'm not a fan of Semi-finals being played at Hampden or Wembley in the English FA Cup either.

I like it when they're at neutral league grounds. Make's the final that bit more special going to the major stadium.

I thought paramount had stopped broadcasting the SFA Cup...

I've been watching it on BBC Scotland with a vpn. They usually have 1 game per round.

Semi finals have been played at Hampden for nigh on 100 years now.

Hearts beat hibs

Rangers lose to Motherwell.

Hearts play Rangers this week. Would be nice to see them win the league .
Looks like we’ve got an exciting three-horse race for once! The top three are all also assured of European football of some sort. Motherwell, Hibernian and Falkirk are all still mathematically able to play in Europe but cannot finish first, second or third so are all fighting for one spot (the second Conference League spot). In the relegation group only Dundee United are mathematically safe from relegation altogether.

It’s fairly niche outside Scotland so I’m sure I’m the only one who’s noticed but the SWPL is competitive (more so than the Premiership usually), albeit with a severe gap in quality. Hearts are also top of the SWPL by three points with Glasgow City, Rangers, Hibernian, Celtic and Partick Thistle rounding out the top six. Partick Thistle are 28 points behind Celtic though and have conceded 61 goals.

The relegation group of the SWPL has Montrose, Motherwell, Aberdeen and Hamilton Academical. Hamilton have only got two points all season and LOST 11–0 to Rangers TWICE. They’ve conceded a total of 95 GOALS. Again, severe gap in quality between the top five, the rest and the newly promoted team from the SWPL 2.

Hibs are actually the reigning champions, having won their first title in 18 years. However, they’re nine points off the top spot and seven points off second place so it’s unlikely they’ll successfully defend their title or even come second (the top two qualify for Europe).

Hearts have no faded in this cut-throat pressure so I really hope they win. This would be nothing short of amazing and the league needs it. You'd assume they'll dwindle next season but hopefully they can recruit some good players and the other clubs can also shake the big 2 as well.

The Jambos were brilliant in the second half against Rangers. Probably their best 45 minutes of the season.

Rangers had the game completely under control until H-T. Derek McInnis certainly earned his money during the break in this game.

The game was a good advert as well for the SPL too....

That noise from the crowd for their second goal.
