Have been busy off forum lately so haven't been on here much.
Must post some thanks to a few people.
I think this forum is even better than when Kevin Airs was fully involved in 442, when he owned the site. There is minimal conflict on here (I rarely visit the politics threads as I'm very busy with political activism /politics off forum), because there is so much content brought by so many to discuss on this forum, which keeps coming daily or weekly.
* Pasquali - thanks for providing this great forum. My only disappointment is, I have not been able to thank him/you in person, buy him/you a coffee or beer, shake his/your hand and pat him/you on the back and give him/you a cash donation (that my better half doesn't know about).
* Podcasts - they've been terrific. Thanks to Pas, Grazor and whomever else is involved. I've learned heaps from the Podcasts. We've had some great guests and the hosts have been friendly, cheerful and welcoming, plus have posed good questions to the guests. It must take a lot of work. Never saw Podcasts before G and G (maybe on YT?).
* Fan View - thanks to all the writers, plus I think JS96 edits them, which could mean quite a bit of work. Love reading all of the FV articles, but prefer those with Aus content. Some terrific photos produced by HSF too.
* The people who started these threads and have kept them going - Aus Abroad, Top Goalscorers, Matildas, Women's Football, Socceroos, AL, ACL, NPL, Aus Underage Tournaments, Podcasts, Fan View section, et al.
* There are a few posters I've recruited to non- football threads. Thanks to a few people in particular - LFC, FUL, EZ, Mono, Grazor, Reb Fem, ODW, Sharkman, et al - who've made them feel welcome and part of the forum. Sometimes the non-football newbies have vast knowledge in their fields they bring to G and G.
* Pasquali - for installing the Ignore button. I look forward to reading 99% of G and G posters' posts, but it is nice to say good bye to a tiny minority of constant negative and cynical posters for good, which has probably resulted in most of them being banned.
* G and G Staff/Mods - there are a lot of threads and sections to cover on this forum. It is far easier to moderate a 1 thread FB forum. There are probably some guys on Staff/Mods who do heaps of thankless work behind the scenes, liking getting rid of Thai spambots, that most of us don't know about.
* Beretta - for showing the rest of his Anarchy forum mates it is possible to become a respected poster on G and G! Haven't seen AF for 6 months, but I'd surmise Beretta posts far more on G and G than AF these days!
As last man standing from AF, has Beretta become a paragon of virtue and a poster boy for G and G?
