Some OFC World Cup qualifiers on today!

In Group A, the Football Ferns beat Samoa 8–0 (standard scoreline). A hat-trick from Kelli Brown, a brace from Manaia Elliott and goals from Katie Kitching and Deven Jackson. An own goal from Georgia Aisei but at least now whoever’s reading this knows who she is. The Solomon Islands, who are hosting this round in Honiara, are currently locked at 0–0 with American Samoa at half time.

In Group B, PNG beat Vanuatu 5–0, with a brace from Nenny Elipas and goals from Ramona Padio, Marie Kaipu and Phylis Pala. Fiji beat New Caledonia 5–0 as well, with a brace from Sofi Diyalowai and goals from Trina Davis, Cema Nasau and Sonia Alfred.

This round is being held in Honiara. A-League Women and NPL Women's clubs and scouts should be watching out for any bolters!

American Samoa got a huge upset 1–0 victory over reigning OFC Nations Cup champions the Solomon Islands, with a goal from Alayna Fuamatu-Maʻafala in the 56th minute sealing the surprise win in Honiara in front of 300 fans.

Forgot to say but Pia Vlok got her first goal for the Ferns!
Pia Vlok scoring her first ever international goal for the Football Ferns in the 75th minute of yet another 8-0 rout, this time over the Solomon Islands. Hannah Blake scored a hat-trick and Milly Clegg got a brace, with Indiah-Paige Riley and Grace Jale the other goalscorers. The result ensures New Zealand secure a place in the semi-finals during the April international window along with American Samoa, who have all but qualified following their 1-0 win over Samoa, their second straight win by this scoreline.
