I'm playing retro football management from the app store. You coach former teams so I tried Australia in 2006. It's a basic game but fun for a bit of nostalgia
 
I downloaded LMA 2007 the other day. Haven't played it yet, but I liked the look of the stadium development feature, that interests me probably because we suck at it in Australia haha.

Now that's a game I remember. Clayton Zane was randomly a beast on it great game that
 
Remember having Emerton's stamina just so reliable on the flank. Some versions definitely had autoscore when you shot with Kewell. Same for for Cahill headers.
 
Played FIFA 2002 the other day the gameplay was actually quite good I wonder why they moved away from how strong you can make your pass it definitely feels hard to play a passing game

I still think you can for the long balls? Tbh I only played the new one on launch day, realised it still had no Socceroos and Matildas, and then quickly uninstalled it

The new ones are so bland it's a damn shame how much fun the old ones have. Though if they ever add retro teams so you can play as 05 Liverpool vs 25 Liverpool I'll play the hell out of it

I did watch about a mod available for FIFA 16 (I think) where they’ve done something just like that

Wow you weren't wrong about the passing game on this - I only ever played this on PS1, so this is my first time on PS2

Currently up to the 2001-2002 section of my Rewriting Socceroos History series, and wow this is tough. Just did friendlies against Japan and France (on World Cup 2002 though, which has very very very similar gameplay), and at least did better/almost matched the real life results there (Real life, lost 3-0 to Japan, and drew 1-1 with France - Game, beat Japan 4-1, and lost to France 1-0 but should have scored a goal surely, was pretty even)
