Between the cup and the league, the scheduling makes zero sense.
I mean, Canberra isn't that big. It only took 2-3 days to reschedule opening round of NPL because of the rain. I'm not sure why there was a month between the first games scheduled for round 4 of the cup, and that one.

its interesting, a lot of the 'bigger' clubs will field an experienced strong side, whereas a lot of these 'smaller' clubs through in their 20s for games like this.

we only rested 1 player in a 3 day turn around last week.
Its probably because the "bigger" clubs can see a pathway towards a cup run, exposure, better gate takings etc etc.. smaller clubs see the cup as a bit of a chance to blood some youth from what Im told.

i think they see it as a burden and financial headaches

Our club always wants to win everything they enter. I prefer that mentality over fielding 20s in cup competitions for the sake of $$$ or tired legs.

yeah i guess that was the exception. 9 players out and replacing them with kids didnt help.

However, we talk our cup football seriously, its why we've won the waratah cup the most out of any club, (8 times)
AND the first NPL club in Aus Cup grand final... All banter aside, you are flying this year, if we face you in the Australian Champs it will be electric both home AND away.

Say what you will, but this was one of the most impressive atmospheres I’ve experienced in Australia. Really felt like you’d been transported to the balkans or something. Surely more impressive scenes than what most clubs in Croatia outside of dinamo or hadjuk are capable of.
