Australian Dual Nationals šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗšŸ³ļø

Anyways, the dual nationals we should focus on in the next cycle are...

Liam Chipperfield (2004)
Noa Skoko (2006)
Antonio Arena (2009)
Gianluca Okon-Engstler (2009)
William Millwood (2009)
Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli (2010)
William Ferdinand Cvek (2011)

The latter are obviously very young, 15/16 respectively but even their allegiance to the youth-teams could prove vital.

Yeah I don’t think we should be worried to be honest. He should be at the World Cup. Germany would have to be pretty bad to select an Aussie from the MLS.
They're that bad though. The Bundesliga has become a French and Dutch apprenticeship league. The locals talents get dumped to the U23 4th tier or they pick one in the hope of being the model German poster boy.

Would like to see Bennie capped also

Adrian Segečić was a benchwarmer for the second match in a row.

Good luck making the Vatreni from the bench at Portsmouth lol.

Random but Haiti and New Caledonia do ā€œwelcomeā€ posts when a player switches like how clubs do it when a player signs. Why don’t we?

We're that buggered from all the scouting, dinner meetings and denying we're selling the shirt that we don't have the energy to roll out the red carpet. Once they commit, we play hard to get.

I’m talking about posts like this:

If we get a player the Socceroos/Matildas could post on their social pages stuff like this.

I think given the current selection policy and the fact that it's more likely that players will jump ship from Football Australia to other federations most of the posts from the Socceroos and Matildas would be 'thank you for your many years of service time' instead.

With Ante Å uto having come out of nowhere for Aussie fans and being eligible for us through his passport and Melburnian dad, I do wonder if there’s any other part-Aussies playing around the world who could be worth a look.

Does anyone know of any? Or perhaps is there a tool in which you can see the ancestries of players?

Besides Transfermarkt, there’s not much I can find. I asked ChatGPT but it gave bad and made up answers; even with very specific prompts.

This might be a good question for @DDAVIES, @AUFC_Fan, @Bruce Ramsay. I may have forgotten someone(s).

I've heard people who use foitball manager, transfermrket, fotmob, sofascore and do research.

Eligible players tend to surface pretty randomly and there aren’t any notable new ones that I know of. Personally, I check Transfermarkt and Instagram, and run advanced Google searches in different languages to pick up any mentions of Australian heritage in interviews. Player highlights on YouTube can also be useful, as they often mention nationality.
