Gotta feel for Canada having also lost AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori to England. He could easily play for Canada and be a legend but only has six caps for England.

Yeah have a look at Italy’s squad for the T20 World Cup. None of them were born in Italy, they’re all Aussies, Englishmen, Indians, Pakistanis and South Africans. The women’s side is the same. Similarly a lot of their men’s and women’s rugby league team is made up of Aussies. Some even play in the NRL and NRLW.

I can't speak for other people but I'm just having a laugh. I don't think we're better than Italy and I'm kinda sad they aren't in the World Cup. But I'm still going to give them shit for missing out.

them iran and uruaguay the main ones I'll feel a bit of schadenfreude over

although it would be on the nose to laugh at iran at the moment.....so will find a way to cheer for them through gritted teeth until their country is going through a less tough time...

Shots fired. Economically speaking Italy not qualifying isn't good for themselves nor the diaspora. Could be a drop in the ocean though.

Germany will benefit from Turkish qualification. They often buy big new TV's.

Boston is sorted with two Scottish games and lots of drinking.

Czech Republic might have an affordability issue but those already over there will drink a lot.

Sex workers in Brazil were upset mostly poorer nations remained into the late stage of the tournament.
