2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

Oh and City won the premiership. Watch them choke the championship yet again though (note the alliteration).

Mariners drew 0–0 with Canberra.

Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory play each other next week at Sam Kerr Football Centre in their last match of the Dub home and away season so likely only one of them will be able to make the top six, provided other results go their way also.

Technically the Golden Boot can’t mathematically be clinched until the final day even if it’s obvious one player will get it. The Golden Glove, however, can (as a goalie can only keep one clean sheet per match).

The Golden Glove race is so tight. There’s actually a chance (albeit a slim one) that seven keepers could share it! Victoria Esson (Phoenix), Malena Mieres (City), Teresa Morrissey (Glory) and Courtney Newbon (Victory) have all kept six each, while Heather Hinz (Sydney), Sally James (Canberra) and Ilona Melegh (Adelaide) all have five each.

Ilona Melegh will finish A-League Women season 2025-26 on five clean sheets though because next week she'll be with the Young Matildas at the under-20 Women's Asian Cup in Thailand.

Yes sadly our best attacking combination ( Trimis, Fuller and Prakash) are all at the Asian Championship.
This leaves Izzy Gomez to do all the heavy lifting.

Central Coast Mariners will also be without Izzy Gomez because she received her eighth yellow card in the 68th minute of their scoreless draw with Canberra United for an argument, so she'll have to serve a suspension next week for too many yellow cards, the second time she's done so this year.

If that’s the case then we have problems. Gomez feels she is unfairly targeted by opposing players and shows her frustration.
ALW games are not well officiated and that adds to her frustration.
 
Matilda McNamara making her return to play for Adelaide United after undergoing concussion protocols and subsequently missing last week, with Erin Healy and Sian Dewey ruled out for them with leg and knee injuries respectively ahead of A-League Women matchday 22, the last matchday of the Dub home and away season getting underway. Teresa Morrissey returns between the sticks for Perth Glory after being forced out of their matchday 21 game against Brisbane Roar at the eleventh hour with a knee injury sustained during the warm-up, whilst Bronte Trew and Clancy Westaway have been promoted to the extended squad. Nicki Flannery makes her return from injury for Melbourne Victory, getting her first minutes of game time since mid-January, as does Maddie Caspers, who returns from a rib injury for Sydney FC.

Jodi Ulkekul will be playing her last game for the Sky Blues after announcing her retirement from all association football this week, with Caley Tallon-Henniker unavailable as she was a late call-up to the Young Matildas playing list for the under-20 Women's Asian Cup in Thailand. Izzy Gomez is also unavailable for Central Coast Mariners and will serve another one-match suspension for too many yellow cards after receiving her eighth yellow card of the season last week. Holly McNamara has been ruled out of Melbourne City's away game against Newcastle Jets in Maitland, the last match of the regular season after sustaining a concussion in their AFC Women's Champions League quarterfinal win over PFC Nasaf last Sunday at Home of the Matildas, along with Chinaza Uchendu, who is serving a suspension after receiving a straight red card for violent conduct during their matchday 20 game against Western Sydney Wanderers. Caitlin Karic remains unavailable for Melbourne City also with her existing minor hamstring injury.
