Japan and southern states of the usa are similar

I think climate makes a difference, but not to the degree we see. We also see some players capable of achieving good physical stats in the a league. I think scouting and physical development can improve to know what sort of physical attritibutes matter and are transferrable to a higher level

Agree with this. Its very rare that we will lose out on players to smaller nations that will cause us issues. I'd say in recent memory the only player this maybe applies to is Jake Brimmer, could very well be others. Mehmeti has the potential to be a loss but I don't think we are going to miss out on much if we lose Sulemani.

I havent watched the replay yet, but take the result bud.... one more match and then you can start thinking about IF this world cup is actually going to go ahead this year or not.. hehe

To be fair this was the absolute ideal scenario for Italy, transition defending has been a huge weakness under Gattuso, I am definitely more confident going up against Bosnia who are less technical/quick than Wales. Still worried of course, we always find a way to bottle it when it matters...

Bosnia have been pretty "ploddy" at the back for the past few years.. Not leaky but they do tend to let teams get in wide easily. I think it will be a comfortable game for Italy.... I am STILL amazed that Gattuso is national team coach btw.... he must have photos of someone in the federation dressed in a gimp mask...

I don't think he will be here after the World Cup to be honest. I can see us being favorites to finish top of the group but I don't see us getting too far in the knockouts unfortunately

One never knows how players develop long term.

Sulemani could make great strides later in his career. Who knew about Cam Burgess until recent years?

Memeti might not progress much more than he is ATM.

Ours should be the same with the same base of support and contact prior. We need to be more strategic early on qualifying. I wonder if we could also manage our own invitational tournaments and get them recognised by our confederation for capping purposes. More opportunities to look at and play our depth.
