Silly me fretting for hours with vpn testing when these FIFA series games will be available on FIFA plus after all. Too easy.

The playoffs are all on there too.

Dazn has a UEFA Playoff conference so I'll likely have that crossing to where the drama is.

So many familiar names there. Germany will be keeping an eye on this.
Fun fact, only one player in the squad Curaçao picked was actually born on the island of Curaçao: Tahith Chong, who was born in Willemstad when Curaçao was part of the Netherlands Antilles (which split in 2010). The rest were born in the Netherlands.

Germany play Curaçao at the world cup. How I want Curaçao to beat Germany and shut them up. Imagine Germany losing to Netherlands lights?

I've heard people in The Netherlands are rushing to get Curaçao kits.
I'm sure Brazil would love for the most embarrassing loss to go to them instead

Better than Okon currently. Apparently he plays a 6 role? I've not kept a close on eye on him.

What's bugs me those in form won't get minutes in these friendlies. If we're serious about players then play them!
Given he picked Luke Brattan to play against Japan in Japan it’s a bit odd, but this is Popa he’s like risk adverse players who can’t play through the lines in midfield…

Yengi is injured and badly enough he'll miss the World Cup.

Scotland = bad is overstated. It depends on the situation and player. It's been good for many. It's also been progressing by the metrics it gets criticised for such as passing stats.
Agree - to an extent.

I think that Miller improved as a Socceroo international, from playing in Scotland.

I think Baccus has improved as well.

Sapsford's finishing has improved. Would it have anywhere else too?

Boyle was a huge asset when he first joined the Socceroos.

However, I find it difficult to see improvement in most other players after they leave Aus - if they've played senior AL football.

According to an article on Arzani in Football 360, DA claims it is very easy for Aussies to fit into the team culture in Scotland, with sense of humour the same, overt friendliness, and English being spoken, compared to Denmark?/Netherlands and Hungary, where players are more aloof.

Arzani sheds light on playing football in such cold conditions, compared to the warm/hot AL in summer, or ACL.

Apart from Celtic - a superb football playing team, when I've watched Scottish football - the movement of players off the ball to support the ball carrier, is rather poor.

The Scottish player on the ball, does not have enough players opening viable passing lanes, from proactive teammates opening enough viable passing options.

Hence, Scottish teams tend to turn the ball over more quickly.

A huge facet of football is winning the ball in Scotland. The ball is in the Transitions more, or Contested Ball Phase, like the AL in the early years.

From recently watching Italian club football, the good international teams, even the AL and ACL, more teammates support the ball carrier proactively in opening passing lanes. Hence teams keep the ball for longer for sustained periods

In some hot country ACL scenarios, and the AL in summer, of course the off the ball Pressing is less intense than Scotland, which makes it easier for teams to maintain the ball.

Apart from playing more games in Scotland, I don't see the improvement in;

first touch,

1v1 attacking skills,

faster handing speed ( ability to receive and pass the ball on quickly) in limited time and space,

game sense,

that one sees players develop from playing in Netherlands/Denmark, Championship, Belgium, Bundi, et al.

The Scottish aspirant Euroroos improve in;

heading skills ( the ball is in the air a lot),

1v1 ball winning,

physical strength and increased muscular bulk ( they might do a lot more Weight Training?).

The Scottish skill set differential from international football, is more pronounced.

Looks like Paramount has finally clamped down on VPN with error 3005 for every way I try to view anything. Even movies get the same error. How is the experience for others? Socceroos replays get the message in Chrome, Android browser app and the Paramount app. Thankfully 10 play works but Paramount was fine last November. I'm going to try 10 different connections and see if anything comes through but I'm doubtful.

Browser error meesage is 3005 for slow connections.

App code is 6000.
I was getting Error 3200. Still do on occasions.

I sometimes can't access full replays. Then a few seconds later I can. It is better on one TV than the other.

It is okay again now, but for a few months I could not access live matches on Paramount. I don't watch many games live, mainly on replay.

Having said this, I'm pleased how much Aus domestic football content I'm able to access via Paramount.

3- 4 min highlights, as well as full game replays.

All Socceroo, Matildas, AL and ACL games, plays some Italian and Scottish football.

I'm a reverse Eurosnob - an Aussiesnob! I don't pay a cent to watch any UEFA football, to protest against the Eurosnob syndrome I encounter off forum against the vast majority of supposed football fans in Aus!

I'm also pleased with the entire football pundits on Ten/Paramount with unassuming and professional delivery. I think Phil Moss is the best game analyst, live, I've heard, including the English speaking panel I heard on TV when in France for the 2016 Euro Champs. I did have Stan, and thought the older pundits seemed a bit bitter and negative.
