AFC qualifying thread

Ok I was hoping to do as many of the playoff simulations tonight before I head out of town for the weekend (so the rest will have to wait until Sunday night / Monday morning), because I want to have as close to accurate squads as possible for the nations competing in the playoffs (these are the only ones I'm not putting in any injured players at all - to my recollection/research - so as to be as close to accurate).

The only playoff path I've been able to finalise is Iraq's (as there is no Suriname, this will just assume Boliva defeat them and face Iraq in the final).

Enjoy

Playoff Simulations (finals only, given no Suriname and New Caledonia in games)

DR Congo v Jamaica

Iraq v Bolivia

I'll consider that my prediction (should this go ahead): Iraq to win 2-1.

I think what will happen if Iran pull out AFTER the playoffs take place, and this is the result, Iraq will keep that spot, and whoever they defeat (likely Bolivia) will get Iran's slot - there will be no confederation clash

Anyone think Suriname has a chance at doing it all? Besting Bolivia then Iraq. Surely. Jamaica get over New Caledonia.

I've got to start looking at who goes in which group again.

DR Congo have a really good squad so they're in with a very strong chance.

Anyone gonna be watching the play offs? Also how can we watch it is it on fifa tv?

The intercontinental ones? I would assume if it’s not on SBS, FIFA+ will show it (they did show all of OFC qualifying for example). UEFA ones should be on Stan.

I’ll probably try and watch them

And Australia’s games are also on FIFA plus I assume?

While we were busy winning dead rubbers, the other 2010 AFC group had this final day drama.

Hope so…….
Yeah after fretting over Paramount blocking VPNs, relief is that FIFA plus will be showing our games. Doesn't bode well for the future though with Paramount exclusive games so I'll need to look elsewhere for that.
