Mackenzie Arnold yellow carded in the 25th minute for the Matildas, becoming the first Tillies player to receive one this match and second player overall after Yao Wei received one for China in the 7th minute of the match.
 
Was never going to be overturned. It's a very soft penalty, but because there is contact with the chest, VAR wouldn't overturn.

We need to control this game better. Giving them too many chances.
 
China without Wang Shuang too so they should in theory be weaker without her. Our squad is better but China play well as a team.

To be fair since coming in as China head coach Ante Milicic has managed to instil more cohesion into the side along with the fighting spirit and 'never say die' attitude the Matildas have been known for.
