Golden Boot Race - Aussies Abroad

Plymouth Argyle are 10th in League 1. Same league as Alex Robertson and Joe Gauci who are both in the mix to be going to this World Cup.
League One my bad, meant League One. Joe Gauci is cause we have a lack of goalies. Alex Robertson will be in the Championship next season.

Watts is another to suffer the youth EPL club hype tag. Liken dual nationals, it was never going to eventuate for us at the high level we'd hoped for. Too many players with the club emblem that doesn't reflect the esteem the club itself holds them in for development.

Brook, Francois, Hammond, Donnell. It would've been best to break ranks early and play in League One at 19 and then build up. That's the more common pathway to success.

What about Paul Izzo?
Izzo is alright but the last window showed he's not the solution.

You can only save what's shot at you and the NZ performances were solid. The Canada game was also good but the saves were within his reach. Colombia was a poor performance and that's where the cracks show he's nowhere near Ryan.

Should be called up. Scoring at that rate at that level us equal his healthy goal ratio in Denmark before leaving. He's pacey and a tidy finisher.

The coach in Denmark knew him from the Netherlands but had a torrid time as manager so he couldn't do his favoured players any favours at the time. Yet Iredale went on a scoring run before opting to move to Korea.

Not going to happen but I'd go Tete, Sapsford and Iredale this window. Leave out Duke, Boyle and Goodwin is already out. The latter two can also hang out wide and have a pass and link up game so those inside forward roles would have extra cover with striker scoring attributes.

Watts seems to be in career best form and scoring regularly. Getting to the point where he might be worth considering.
We won't know until we try them so we have to create a striker power vacuum.
