Big Ange thread

Man. I watched the Ange thing for a minute. Stayed for 45.

Awesome interview.

Great talking about his upbringing, and puskas. He is doing this nation proud.

My favourite bit was when he said the only time he’s cried happiness from a football game was when he won the FFa cup with Melbourne victory.
What a true son of Isuzu Utes league pty ltd....

VdV would never play for me again...

I know conflicts can be resolved and sparks will fly from time to time but I'd like to see managers get rid of those who continuously create issues. Romero probably does a lot of good that we don't see but there are also moments where you think he's detrimental to it all.

Remember Ange coming in and getting rid of Griffiths? It was one of many decisions Celtic needed at the time.

If nothign else, freeze them out of matchday squad.. A player that so blatantly undermines the manager in match day is toxic.

Player did that for me, they wouldn't play again. They can sook and complain, but they can also be sold. It's one of the things Fergie did so well, had players who wanted to play for the club. They would take less money to play for United.

Now we have all the prima donna footballers who complain when the wind blows and demand stupid weekly wages.

Hope Spurs get relegated.

Apparently we’re keeping Igor Tudor. We’re a joke. To be fair though if we went down the Championship title race would be pretty dull next season (unlike how it’s usually quite competitive). We would likely come straight back up. We may not spend enough for a Big Six side but we well and truly spend enough for a Championship side.

Ange did say, wait till you see season 3.

I guess relegation is the plot twist.

I think you may be downplaying the horrors that are still to come between now and when (not if hehe) you get relegated.

I mean it hasn't even been a month since Tudor was appointed and already look how much worse it has got!

That's not to mention the MASS exodus there will be when you go down. You very well may have a par Championship squad and a club that will be the laughing stock of European if not world football. Damaged goods that even less will want to go anywhere near.

I think Tudor will be sacked after the Liverpool game no matter the result. His appointment has been yet another stroke of mismanagement genius by the Spurs power brokers.

Except ENIC’s money doesn’t just go away. We would easily accumulate at least 100 points. Some players may not even have a relegation clause in their contract though because we’ve never been close to it in decades until now.

I think what we’ve seen is that us having so much money but spending little has punished us. A few years ago you could get away with this because the Big Six were so much better than everyone else. Now you’ve got the rise of teams like Aston Villa and Bournemouth and teams like Crystal Palace winning trophies. Other teams have strengthened and we haven’t. In fact, we’ve gone backwards. Only one player left from 2019 (Ben Davies, who barely ever plays), sold Harry Kane and the rest while Son Heung-min got older and eventually sold.

People are forgetting two things.
1. To get out of the championship you either have to win the league or a playoff final, something foreign to Spurs only until recently but they sacked the manager who achieved it.

2. Spurs hoping for “Daddy” Pochetino to come home, not realising the irony that even with Spurs’ greatest ever squad in recent memory, he never won a major trophy.

It tells you everything you need to know about the club. It’s all vibes. I’d be very concerned for Spurs, don’t think it would be as easy as it looks to bounce straight back up.

Surely Spurs take a massive chunk of the stadium pie but I'm curious how the finances are structured with all the other events going on there. The goal is to make it an entertainment hub.
