A thread to discuss anything related to the 2026 Sydney Super Cup, a friendly tournament being held in Sydney this July and August!

English Premier League sides Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Sydney to face A-League Men sides Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC respectively as well as each other. English WSL giants Chelsea Women will also travel to Sydney to face the A-League Women All Stars for just the second time since the inaugural A-League Women All Stars game against Arsenal (featuring their Matildas trio) in Melbourne. Matildas stars Ellie Carpenter and Sam Kerr will feature for Chelsea Women, with academy product Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli possibly featuring for Chelsea Men. The matches will be held at Accor Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park and Allianz Stadium in Moore Park.

Below is the match schedule:

If Tottenham get relegated then this friendly tournament will take on comedic significance and like the kids say I'm here for it.
I wonder if they’d consider bringing Big Ange in as an interim just for these friendlies. Igor Tudor will be sacked by the season’s end unless we actually turn our whole season around.

Do we know if Sam will still play or is this just old info?

I really wanted to go, but unfortunately I doubt I will be able to make it, between it being a weekday with my broken ankle using up my leave & making travel more difficult.

She won't now. She'll have found a new club by then. That being said I do think she shoulda been given a chance to fairwell the Blues Down Under here.

Oh, that's a shame. Get well soon!

Yeah it would have been nice!

Thanks, yeah I'm non weight-bearing for 6 weeks so I doubt I'll be playing again this season even if we make it to the finals, and my futsal season just started too. I'll have to just watch more football while I can't play lol
