Never mind the black font colour (or the font - that is probably inaccurate as well), or the yellow shorts (I haven’t seen/heard anything suggesting this)

I despised it the minute I saw it.

But, once seeing it in real life, it grew on me. I am probably wearing it once a week or two at the moment - and just remember that's with a rotation of about 70 jerseys in total!

I have no idea why they introduced late in the international jersey cycle, only for it to be replaced in line with the standard international jersey cycle - it really bothers me.

Most are these days. At least with this route, they are adding a bit of something different for each country. Still - no Australia in there whatsoever. I think the last times we got absolute proper bespoke treatment from Nike was 2010 and 2014.

2010 we were treated among the equals (if I recall correctly, the promos for the Socceroos kit was that even the numbering was based off Australian banknotes), and 2014 obviously with the 1974 throwback.

If the leaks are to be believed, I don't like the new Australia kit. Looks very basic and plain, almost like they just re-ran with the 2006 kit. Yet they'll charge a crapload for it.

I don’t think the pictures do it justice - all we have really gotten are an image of the front
