Cahill still got it.
Prime Tim Cahill would walk into most modern Premier League teams' starting 11. As would Harry Kewell, Mark Schwarzer and Mark Viduka (plus others possibly) in their primes.I remember a while ago someone asking if tim cahill would make it today
Well if we had a choice between irvine and prime cahill we definitely choose cahill by some margin, and irvine is a captain for a lower bundesliga side
I suspect even today, prime cahill is a regular for a mid table big 5 side
I'd just arrived in Melbourne in 2000 to watch Olyroos play in Sydney Olympics. Turn around on the airport escalator and I'm "MARK VIDUKA!" On his own, no chaperones, he gave me a big grin, brief chat and good to see he's looking as fit as he was then
That's actually mad! I woulda been two years old back then lol.I'd just arrived in Melbourne in 2000 to watch Olyroos play in Sydney Olympics. Wow CR7 is way ahead of everyone else. Is it cause he plays in Saudi where he gets paid a shit ton (plus has a giant personal following) or would other clubs actually pay that much for him?Check out Schwarzer

Yes. Plus it's Ronaldo. He's a multi generational talented player too.Wow CR7 is way ahead of everyone else. Is it cause he plays in Saudi where he gets paid a shit ton (plus has a giant personal following) or would other clubs actually pay that much for him?
Mark retired at 43 which is quite old. Managed to win back to back Premier Leagues though. Proves he was a high quality keeper.
I think Cristiano Ronaldo is only garnering that high of a market value partly because he plays in Saudi Arabia but also due to how high calibre of a player he is, and definitely agree that Mark Schwarzer is a high-quality keeper if he managed a transfer value of a million euros at age 41 in addition to winning back-to-back premierships in England.Wow CR7 is way ahead of everyone else. 3/4 of that list is keepers. Ronaldo is a freak to still be so fit after 41, and Ibrahimovic had a great publicity team.I think Cristiano Ronaldo is only garnering that high of a market value partly because he plays in Saudi Arabia but also due to how high calibre of a player he is, and definitely agree that Mark Schwarzer is a high-quality keeper if he managed a transfer value of a million euros at age 41 in addition to winning back-to-back premierships in England.
I think some Socceroos youth prospects definitely have the potential to reach the quality of Harry Kewell, but they will ultimately still have their flaws and won't be nearly as well-rounded players.will we ever see a player of his quality again? Nearly a complete player
Yeah I'll be honest I don't see any player anywhere near himI think some Socceroos youth prospects definitely have the potential to reach the quality of Harry Kewell, but they will ultimately still have their flaws and won't be nearly as well-rounded players.
