the buildup of our cb-dm combinations is absolutely awful....reminds me of australia v bahrain under graham ardnold

in the end we got the goal and when we play japan and other teams that come out more maybe that part of our game isn't as important

especially if we have cbs and dms in the squad with better ball skills?

Tillies had five shots at goal in the first half but only two of those were on target.

we seem decent once we get to the final third at working combinations or having effective crosses, but the build up to get there, especially through the first third is very very poor

cbs looked pretty poor in trying to find our midfield too mind you. Having a technical midfield like kcc would mitigate it but there seems to be an issue with our cbs ball playing ability

are they are first choice?

Usually (as in recently) Steph is at CB with Clare rather than at LB like she is today. Wini is a CB and challenges for a spot. She’s good.

I'd say also bring on Mary Fowler late in the second half and maybe bolster the forward line with either one of Kahli Johnson or Holly McNamara so we have more options in attacking midfield and the forward line as opposed to just a sole striker.
