Amazing goal from the 20 year old CB, Dylan Lawlor! Great goal (first of the game) from Alex Robertson as well. Roberston is consistently in great form and hopefully Poppa will select him for the WC squad
I think the expectation is that Alex Robertson will get called up for the Socceroos going into the World Cup and possibly also for the March friendlies given his consistency and good form in club football, but most likely as a differential option.

In terms of Herrington i think he is actually a smokey for the World cup.

Having watched the opening match last week he was consistently impressive in a team that didn't play well.

He is so calm on the ball for an 18 year old and he plays with a real intelligence defensively. He really seems a lot older than his age.

Now that's a left field find.
Not really. He's been playing regularly all season, mostly starting. Damian Davies, who also posts on here, is a great source for identifying Australians (Seniors and Youth) playing overseas. Transfermarkt and Playmaker are good for helping identify any dual nationals amongst them.

Max Anastasio (17, Australia/Italy) was subbed on in 60' and scored for Bologna U20 in a 4-1 home win v Sassuolo U20 in Italy Primavera 1.

He is tied to Australia having played for them in the AFC U17 Asian Cup in April 2025.

Billy Apostolatis (18, Australia/Greece) and Ryan Molnar (18, Australia/Slovakia) both played full games for Anadia U19 in a 1-0 away loss to Academica U19 in Portugal U19 Championship, II Division.

Jason Geria played the entirety of Albirex Niigata's 2-0 J2/J3 100 Year Vision League West Region A win over FC Imabari.
Since geria can cover rwb and herrington can cover rcb and lcb, i wonder if we can get away with having 5 cbs in our 23 man squad rather than 6, would mean one less painful choice elsewhere

Steven Hall played the entirety of 10-man Brighton under-21s' 2-2 Premier League 2 draw with Newcastle United's under-21 side in goal.
