OFC Professional League 🌏

At this rate the postponed matches will have their own extra hub!
"Join Oceania" they said, "travel the Pacific and play in exotic places" they said.. "It will make Hellas professional again" they said... Jesus this has been a shambles. The "organisation" for the 50 people who rocked up yesterday was a farce... Some biddy from Tixflix or whatever that μαλακια is called taking cash for a ticket that she said was allocated and not have a ticket to give me and then taking down an email address so that OFC can issue a refund if/when they decide... these guys couldnt organise a root in a brothel..

I would like to see better contingency planning on behalf of the OFC for possible postponements.

I am happy to give them the benefit of the doubt given its the first year of this competition. One would assume there would be a full review of the competition commencing at the end of the first edition.

My 2 cents - Melbourne needs to host either the first or second hub in order to avoid clashes with the Grand Prix and avoid playing in stifling conditions in the middle of summer in some pacific locations. The Home of the Matildas is a terrible venue for such a competition. It is a training facility - not somewhere to have these kinds of competition matches.

I agree fully....

Teething problems are unavoidable 1st year... and id like to say we will learn from them also....

My take away from last night is that atleast we didnt lose anyone in what can only be deemed the 'great flood of 2026' .⛴️ closest image to Noah's ark i could find!

There is not taking away from it.. In 2017 it rained like that for 4 hours and the pitch at Lakeside was deemed playable... the HOTM is a farce and its up to OFC to secure AAMI park in future if they are serious about this tournament..

Agree, if you want to be taken seriously you utilise best grounds to show you are serious.. the look of an empty aami though would be icing (ammo) for all those Flogari AL mcfranchise wnkr types... not interested in giving them the opportunity.

All the other hubs have had absolutely empty stands too but they look like good football pitches.. Couldnt care less what the McPlastics say... Im more concerend about some dude in the rest of the world (apparently some of the OFC matches have had a million views already) thinking Australian pitches look like OV or HOMT when compared to PNG and Solomon Island whos grounds are picture perfect.

I think it is safe to assume that PNG Hekari will not play finals and finish last.

Fourth spot is up for grabs as Vanuatu's two straight wins have put them into finals contention. What goes against Vanuatu is that they have played 2 more matches than South Island. All of Solomon Kings, South Island, Vanuatu, Bula, and Tahiti can still reach that 4th spot to play in the Leaders Group finals.

South's next 2 matches are against teams that are 3rd and 4th on the ladder. Two wins there, and they are pretty much certain of a top 3 finish before the finals kick off.

But the question remains.. do they have ducks on the pitch??? Hahaha.

To he fair I cant really fault your argument! Lol

Tahiti United defeated PNG Hekari 2-1 and Bula FC played out a scoreless draw with South Island United in their circuit 1 catch-up fixtures at Home of the Matildas. South Melbourne play their circuit 1 catch-up match against Solomon Kings tomorrow to close out the Melbourne hub before the next set of matches in Honiara next week.

Anyone watch tonight’s games?

Anyway, this competition is proving to be a standard than I expected.

And it is certainly offering a little different.

Tonight’s match against the Solomon’s Island may prove to be the best match day experience yet.

Two sets of passionate supporters, with both teams proving to be two of the better outfits thus far
