We've beaten Hungary twice in Budapest. I forget the year of the other win, but I think it was when Steve Laybutt, one of our worst players ever, scored.

I was at that game.SCG is terrible for watching football.The field is so far away from the fence.There was a big crowd with plenty of ex-pats.It was basically an England B team with some up and coming players.Peter Sharne ( now largely forgotten)was a real speed merchant with an average first touch but his pace worried the English defence particularly Trevor Cherry the RB( I think he played for Leeds).Frank Lampard Snr,Trevor Francis ,Terry Butcher,Paul Mariner and Glenn Hoddle were in that team and most of them had very good careers.
My wife's niece went to high school with Mark Jankovics who was a striker for Australia and played for Marconi I think as did Sharne.Gary Cole who converted the penalty was an English born CF who played in the Victorian League and the NSL.He scored plenty of goals for Heidelberg( previously Fitzroy Alexander club) in the NSL.

I remember seeing Sharne and Jankovics playing for NSW against Norwich City in 1979, and they absolutely destroyed the English side with their speed. Also Eddie Krncevic at right back, and Tony Henderson dominating against Justin Fashanu.
 


Woah uploaded days ago and looks a great 1 hour watch. Don't now this channel but 1.8k followers suggests enough are clicking.

man i wish i had full games from that 3rd round and the 2007 asian cup

Got a couple in our list but missing a ton right when our gg are finally getting regular international football (although already aging a tad but still...)
