The Martin Molloy radio show was gold as well. Good times

That reminds me. I have every episode of 'Get this' which Tony Martin did with Ed Kavalee and Richard Marsland.

The show got canned, and this is no joke, because it was too popular. Triple M gave it the arse because they weren't playing enough music and couldn't run enough ads.

Interesting summation, MCG.

My problem with my AL contrib on G and G is I am always behind on games watched. I’m watching a lot on replay and highlights a few days after they occur. Live cricket, then ACL full replays are the current priority. We are also having a lot of good weather for the beach ATM.

I watch pretty well every game in the AL, even if only 3-4 min highlights.

Also, I prioritise AL teams with the largest numbers of domestic players and youth for the full replays, or ACL involved teams.

Have seen a lot of Jets, AU, City, Victory ( a few too many imports) and Mac games in AL/ ACL.

Do you think some posters being recruited from the other football sites would add more diversity in AL discussion, MCG?

We don’t seem to have any Mac fans on G and G. You seem to be the only City fan, although some of us are big supporters of City, and Mac, in the ACL.

Many years ago on 442 a few posters thought the forum was too dominated by WSW, SFC and Vic fans.

Reddit apart from its casual match thread audience has the same users

Yeah the difference between match thread talk and actual posters on Reddit is bigger than you’d think. Some normal posts go without any comments (even highly-upvoted ones, e.g. some of my goal videos). Match threads are the opposite: they get few upvotes but a lot of comments and replies (often from the same users though, with the weight of the match determining how many, i.e. Matildas and Socceroos tournament games have the most while OFC Pro League ones have quite few).

Ofcourse for we have a good mix of gens unlike most of the other BS ones that would talk down ol der posters or topics

Cons:
Not as much a league talk as the others
Well thats your POV and obviously you'd prefer more of AL, well you can start as many threads as Hotspur to build up more discussion no ? there's enough AL members by the look of it. I don't think this should be in the Con side of the ledger imo.
Pretty much same users
Growth takes time - mind you forums are not the go to for most younger gens wouldn't you agree ?
Bit addictive
Please explain ?

As for the rest of the mediums you mention - glad I don't participate waste of my valuable time reading people who hide behind keyboards puffing their chests out.

bit addictive is surely a pro :D

I would like to get better at breaking news

Joffa (one of the mods) used to take it on themselves to post every article that was relevant as quickly as possible. Would love a volunteer eager to do that. But happy to grow until we get the horsepower to do that

would love to have more a league discussion. It is pretty tricky to compete with A league reddit on that, since they are focused specifically on that. Interestingly, going by club supporters a league fans are probably more than the rest combined, so we do seem to have some

Finding Mac fans seems difficult in general, let alone on a forum

We seem to have a good number of SFC and Vic fans but lack WSW fans
