While I don’t think we’ll have players that match Kewell and Viduka, I think we are on the cusp of a new Golden Generation.Hard to disagree here.
2006 squad had peak Viduka & Kewell coached by Hiddink & a host top class professionals (Cahill, Neill, Grella, Bresc, Emerton Swatzs) will always be very hard to beat.
I don't think we have ever gone close to producing players ever like peak Kewell & Viduka, they were near world class at their peak. Injury (Kewell) & personality (Dukes) stopped them from reaching their best. Alan Shearer said he wished he had 1/2 of the Dukes skills. While I don’t think we’ll have players that match Kewell and Viduka, I think we are on the cusp of a new Golden Generation.
However we’re not yet in 2006, it’s still 2001.
Is that true? I love viduka but I wouldn't have him in the same paragraph as ShearerI don't think we have ever gone close to producing players ever like peak Kewell & Viduka, they were near world class at their peak. While someone like Cahill thru hard work & persistence reached nearly 100% of his best.
Not to diminish Timmy - but a lot of his goals would be chalked off with VAR. The little shove in the back to give himself room in the box that Archie Goodwin tried to copy proved that.I don't think we have ever gone close to producing players ever like peak Kewell & Viduka, they were near world class at their peak.
