There are other factors that play into it, especially in today's game.

Viduka wouldn't count as home grown where as Kewell would. Kewell was younger and would have more on sell value. Kewell is also useful as a winger whereas out and out strikers like Viduka are not as used in today's game.

Kewell would have gone for bonkers money. We're talking Wirtz, Isak type record breaking money.

2) How many regulars in the big 5 will we have?

3) What will be the highest ranked club of any player in our best xi?

Very hard questions but:

1. Maybe EFL Championship or Scottish Premiership?
2. Maybe five?
3. Probably a mid-tier Premier League club
4. No idea, Maty Ryan will be phased out though if he hasn't retired by then (he's 33 now)

1) Mid table championship either the goal keeper or right back
2) 6 - Probably circati, Bos, robbo, irankunda, herrington, toure. With some luck maybe one of mcgree, metcalf souttar or ryan nails a spot in a weaker big 5 team
3) 6th-8th best team in the epl probably circati

I like this one - but I would say you need horses for courses. If we are playing a top 10 team Farrell at LB and Bos on later if we are chasing goals. By 2030 - I think Beach and Peraic- Cullen will be the first and second keepers - just not sure which. For me Toure over Sapsford.

We're allowed 2x friendlies in June 1-9 for pre-WC friendlies (ideally in the US/Mexico) according to the FIFA Match Calendar (so not sure where Mexico is getting 3 from, unless one of them will be an unofficial friendly?), so still room for one more to prepare. I would presume this Mexico game would be early in that window (since Mexico's opens the tournament on the 11th, and our first game is 13th)
