Your guess us as good as mine but I'd say probably around the level of some of the second tier Asian leagues such as Malaysia or perhaps Thailand at a push. I'm going off very little info, though.

I'd say the Canadian Premier League is a higher level than NPL and the Singapore Premier League but still lower than the A-League because the standard of play in the Singapore Premier League is more or less on par with NPL Victoria, and it would be a similar calibre to the Malaysian and Thai leagues.

They were but not for Stama, hence the move. Johnny K has been solid and sometimes better than that. But the standout has been Oscar Priestman who it seems impresses more with each passing week. I reckon he's a smokey for the 2030 WC, albeit in a position where we have good depth. Going off what I've read, this Motherwell team has consistently played the best football in the SPL this this season, just not clinical enough in front of goal.

Priestman has gone under the radar but the boys on The Soccerwhos podcastv have been talking about him.
 
I know the transfer window is long closed, but I’m still frustrated at the missed opportunity for some of our boys in England to go out on loan from the Championship to League One for the opportunity to get games against men, instead of the occasional junior game. Games in League One at a young age is great preparation to step up to the Championship in following seasons. and any regulars in the Championship can be regulars for the Socceroos.

For a couple of examples, Mass Luongo went from Tottenham reserves to League One as a 21 year old, played almost 80 games in two years and then became Asian Cup player of the tournament and a Socceroo mainstay for a period, while also unfortunately turning down La Liga offers for QPR where he never crossed the halfway line because he wanted to stay in London.

Cameron Burgess has almost 3 times the number of games in League One than he does in the Championship, mainly gained during his early years. He has played in the Prem and is first choice for the Socceroos.

Pearman is 19, Adamson is 22, Bennie is 19 and had offers from Wycombe - could’ve started 20 games, almost an A-League season. Who’s going to develop better from January to July, Raphael Borges Rodriguez, or these 3?

I know it’s only the same level as the A-League, but it’s an opportunity to get games on English pitches, get used to the speed of the British game and play down the road from their Championship team’s coaching staff, instead of coming home like Farrell. After that, they’re in a much better position to make the rotation for next season, or at the very least, get another season long loan and get 40+ games like Mass did.

Great post.

The 3 QPR boys all fair calls but I do think for Farrell this Wanderers loan surely was hoping on a prayer to make the WC squad.

Perhaps making choices based on your own club career as a priority should as a by product equate to potential Socceroos selection anyway.
