2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

Wellington Phoenix ran out 1-0 winners over Perth Glory at home in the Distance Derby to get A-League Women matchday 16 underway, with Makala Woods' goal in the fourth minute of first half stoppage time the only goal of the game. The result sees them move to the top of the table for the first time in their history on 24 points, one point clear of Melbourne City, with their seventh win of the season and fourth win in a row, still with the best for and against in the entire comp, whilst Perth Glory are eighth, level on points with Melbourne Victory but with inferior for and against.
 
Alana Jancevski and Holly Furphy subbed on in the 63rd minute for Melbourne Victory, replacing Chelsea Blissett and Ella O'Grady respectively.

The result sees Melbourne Victory move to fifth on the ladder, level on 20 points with Adelaide United but with better for and against, whilst Newcastle Jets remain ninth on 16 points, having lost their third straight game and eighth game this season.
 
Sydney FC and Canberra United level at 1-1 in the first half of their A-League Women matchday 16 game after Bethany Gordon opened the scoring for the visitors in the 13th minute, and Madison Ayson scored the equaliser in the 38th minute, with Mackenzie Hawkesby getting the assist.

Melbourne City and Brisbane Roar locked at 2-2 at the half after Kijah Stephenson scored a brace of goals in the 8th and 13th minute for the visitors, with Aimee Medwin getting the assist on the first goal of the game, which was cancelled out by goals to Rebekah Stott in the 36th minute and Holly McNamara in the 41st minute.
