There is no way United win those next two. Spurs or West Ham are the two biggest banana skins there.
Sunderland now four points outside the European qualification places through 24 matchdays and could well end up making European competition this season if they continue their good form. It's good to see Sunderland doing well I hope they finish above Newcastle
It bugs me how players move to a club like Burnley now when they're probably going down. Of course teams should battle to survive but the Burnley way makes them too good for The Championship but still too dumb for the EPL.Jan transfers :

Will Arsenal regret Nwaneri move? Have Sunderland traded brilliantly again? We run the rule over every team’s businesswww.theguardian.com
JS96 boggling to me talking Burnley that Hammers loaned Ward Prowse to them - I mean he was kicking goals at general play and set pieces for the Saints bigtime and got selected for the 3Lions - talk about backwards.
Spurs have picked up Conor Gallagher, should inspire their midfield, young Johnson been sold to Palace.
Competition init. That's right and then there are players at Boro being enticed by those who could go down. Managers included!Competition init. Boro are trying to bring in players who can compete in epl and getting rid of some squad chump
its all about $'s or game time - I agree some decisions you wonder, if I was on the pines and have a chance elsewhere to be in starting line up you'd go for eg.....That's right and then there are players at Boro being enticed by those who could go down. Managers included!
Hackney would be wise to wait it out.
Burnley's problem is that they buy players to get promotion from the Championship, and give them 3-4 year contracts, and they loan players in with purchase clauses connected to promotion, meaning more 3-4 year contracts for Championship rather than Premiership players... Which means that every time they get promoted they are committed to spending most of their budget on retaining a top championship squad rather than buying a Premiership squad. They got 30 mill for Trafford, and spent the lot retaining Anthony, Edwards, Flemming and Humphreys. This is the curse of the yo-yo club, you have to be sharp (and lucky) to break it.It bugs me how players move to a club like Burnley now when they're probably going down. It'll be refreshing having some newish clubs go up again. Just got tired in Burnley, Leicester and Southampton grossly underperforming.Burnley's problem is that they buy players to get promotion from the Championship, and give them 3-4 year contracts, and they loan players in with purchase clauses connected to promotion, meaning more 3-4 year contracts for Championship rather than Premiership players... It's been very interesting this season to watch Southampton and Leicester both struggling to use their parachute money effectively, and to see Sheff Utd fall apart trying something different. The door is open to the likes of Coventry, Boro and Hull to give Ipswich a real battle. There will be fresh clubs in the Prem next season. Hopefully joining Leeds as well as my lads, a bit of change is what the Prem needed.
I liked the Burnley way under Dyche when they finished higher up the table. They were competitive at least. What I don't like now is how stifled their apparent good attackers are and their leaky defence.Ben - that rcycle and rinse been going on forever for those type of Clubs.
The owners (some) I suspect are happy as such - sideline passion investment of their portfolio - if they really wanted to invest they could but they don't - and how their model works.
I think the poor ol Fox's was destined after the surprising win - the passing of the Father/investor really changed I expect the boardroom mojo.
JS Burnely isn't admired much for its hardly played any decent attacking football - its park the bus and counter here and there - Dyche has a ordinary ol skool personality and their game was it - Parker just doesn't have a clue - playing survivor.

Again though Dyche was winning from defense and rightly so with what you have.I liked the Burnley way under Dyche when they finished higher up the table. They were competitive at least. What I don't like now is how stifled their apparent good attackers are and their leaky defence.
We were awful. Glad I chose to watch the Olympics instead.
