There were multiple companies in the Mariners set ups. The one that held the license also ran the academy. Since that company was stripped of the license then that company was placed into administration otherwise Charlesworth would be trading while insolvent. i.e. it was as a result if the APL action. The APL then communicated through the club that the academy was no longer. A lot of people behind the scenes went in to rescue it and deal was done very quickly thru CCF, CCU and others (I believe co-ordinated by a former CEO of the Mariners who took leave from his new job as the now interim CEO of Wests Tigers) to ensure it continued. It then seems that the APL was shamed into taking it over, probably because any buyer would want the academy.
Central Coast Mariners have not announced Ryan Edmondson being delisted yet but he has confirmed himself that he is no longer a Mariners player.
