If we werent an attractive club to join already this should entice players as well being an automatic entry to the cup. I'd have the dockerty cup last in terms of importance compared to everything else we are involved in but if we draw a big fish early i'd love to knock em out. We are in free hit territory.

We can offer players the following exposure:
- OFC Pro League
- Australian Championship
- Australia Cup

For a player eager to prove themselves and raise their profile, you cant go past South.

Thats was my first thought also.. Would love to knock a few clubs out of the running early.

I think this gives us extra incentive to improve our recruitment and really go after some quality players. We have a number of significant competitions we are playing in, so attracting players should not to be that difficult. We are looking at over 70 matches this calendar year, so there's plenty of matches to share the workload across a bigger squad.
 
Does anyone know if we still get the home stadium NPL club advantage if we draw an ALeague franchise or do we get treated like one of the professional cubs now?

We literally only had a 4 week off season and already Im frothing for live footy again...

If Manny to Preston does eventuate that will be a massive blow. Lets just wait and see... Still 11 days to go, anything is possible but like others have said, if a young player wants guaranteed national and international exposure in 3 comps this year then they know which door to knock on.

Kappa polo shirts look great. Must say I've been really impressed with Kappa lifting its game over the last 12 months. Our Australian Championship/OFC Pro League playing shirts have looked fantastic.

Let's hope Kappa can release a quality South jumper/hoodie for the upcoming NPL Victoria season.
